Quick answer: In the Nomni Ordering console go to System Emails > Templates. Pick a template in Select Email Template:, change Sender Email:, Sender Name:, Email Subject: or the content, click Send test email to check it, then click Update & Exit.

This guide is for the Nomni Ordering console. Your console address ends in /console, for example yourstore.orderup.com.au/console. It is not the Nomni POS online store.

Before you start

  • Who: a console user with edit permission for System Emails. Without it, you can't change templates.

  • Which store: changes apply only to the store in the location selector. To change all stores, select All Locations/Global first.

Templates you can edit

  • Customer: Customer - Forgot Password, Customer - New Customer, Customer - Password Update, Customer - Updated Data.

  • Orders: Order - Pickup Confirmation, Order - Delivery Confirmation, Order - Dine In Confirmation, Order - Room Service Confirmation, Order - Preorder Details, Order - Failed, Order - Notification for Third Party Failed Transaction.

  • Refunds and tabs: Order Up Refund Notification, OrderUp Fix Tab Refund Notification, Order Up Fix Tab Close Notification, Order Up Unlimited Tab Close Notification.

  • Payments: Payment Failed - Send email to customer to retry the payment again.

  • Menu imports (POS-integrated stores): Menu Integration - Import Started, Import Success, Import Failed.

Edit a template

  1. Go to System Emails > Templates.

  2. Choose the template in Select Email Template:.

  3. Change Sender Email:, Sender Name: or Email Subject: if needed.

  4. Edit the content in the editor.

  5. Click Send test email, enter your email and send it to check how it looks.

  6. Click Update & Exit or Update & Continue. Undo Changes clears unsaved edits.

Create a new template

  1. Click + Create New Template.

  2. Enter Template Name: and Template Description:.

  3. Add the content, then click Create & Exit.

If something goes wrong

  • Customers don't get emails: check Location Settings > Email > Allow Sending of Email is YES, and ask customers to check spam. By default, order emails are sent from [email protected] (shown in Sender Email:).

  • Placeholders: keep any existing placeholder text in the content as it is; it fills in order and customer details.
