Quick answer: On a POS-integrated store, go to Menu > Menu Categories in the Nomni Ordering console with your store selected and click Import Location … Menu. Confirm Please confirm... and click Import. To schedule imports for several stores, select All Locations/Global, click Import All Locations/Global Menu and use Schedule Import.

This guide is for the Nomni Ordering console. Your console address ends in /console, for example yourstore.orderup.com.au/console. It is not the Nomni POS online store.

Before you start

  • Who: a console user who can edit menu categories.

  • Store: your store must be connected to a POS (for example Lightspeed, Shiji, Simphony or Nomni POS). For stores without a POS, see "Bulk import and export your menu with CSV files".

  • What gets overwritten: the import brings in the POS menu. If Allow Name/Description Changes In OrderUp is off, product names and descriptions always come from the POS.

Import one store now

  1. Select the store in the location selector.

  2. Go to Menu > Menu Categories.

  3. Click Import Location … Menu (it shows your store ID).

  4. Read Please confirm... Importing location … menu.

  5. If you see Import All Products or customise from the list below., choose all products or use Customise Menu to Import.

  6. Click Import.

What you should see: the categories and products update when the import finishes. If email notifications are set up, you get Menu Integration - Import Started and Import Success or Import Failed emails.

Schedule imports for several stores

  1. Select All Locations/Global in the location selector.

  2. Go to Menu > Menu Categories and click Import All Locations/Global Menu.

  3. Under Schedule Import, choose the Day and Time.

  4. Enter an email in Send email notification to :.

  5. Tick the stores in Select Location/s (or All Locations).

  6. Click Add to Scheduled List.

Import stock levels (Lightspeed)

If your Lightspeed integration imports stock, you also see Import Location … Stocks. Click it, confirm and click Import.

If something goes wrong

  • There is no import button: your store is not POS-integrated, or it uses Nomni POS menu updates sent from the POS side.

  • Import Failed email: contact us with your store name and the time of the import.
