In the Nomni Ordering console you can download your whole menu as CSV files, edit products and prices in a spreadsheet, and import the files back. This saves editing products one by one.
Before you start
Who: a console user with the Bulk Import permission (Admin > Users > the user > permissions).
Device: a computer.
POS-integrated stores (for example Lightspeed or Nomni POS): change products and prices in your POS, then re-import and sync. See Adding / Editing a Product & Price.
Download your current files first so you have a backup.
Download your current menu
Log in to your Nomni Ordering console.
Go to Menu > Bulk Import/Export.
Click Export Data.
Click Download Product File and Download Attribute File.
What you should see: two CSV files with your current products and attributes.
Import products
On Menu > Bulk Import/Export, open Import Product CSV.
If you are starting from scratch, click Download Templete for the template.
Keep the columns in this order: id, name, active, plu, category, description, size group, size, price, deal surcharge, free, topping group, included ingredients, extra ingredients, other options.
Save the file as .csv.
Drop the file onto Drop Product file here or click to upload.
What you should see: your products, categories, sizes and toppings updated in Menu > Menu Categories.
Import attributes (extras and options)
Open Import Attribute CSV.
Keep the columns in this order: id, name, active, plu, group, price.
Don't include toppings that are already in the product file as included or extra ingredients.
Drop the file onto Drop Attribute file here or click to upload.
What you should see: the new attributes in Menu > Attributes. Groups from the import are created under the other attribute type.
If something goes wrong
You don't see Bulk Import/Export: ask your console admin to give you the Bulk Import permission.
The upload is rejected: only .csv files are accepted. Check the columns are in the order above.
Prices look wrong online: open one product in Menu > Menu Categories and check its sizes and prices.
