Why is Uber Direct delivery unavailable at checkout?

Why customers see delivery unavailable and what to check

Written by Lucien Hopkinson

Quick answer: Check your store is open and delivery is available now in your online hours. Check your delivery settings and delivery zones or suburbs include the customer's area. Then follow the steps below.

When a customer chooses delivery, Nomni Ordering asks Uber Direct for a delivery estimate. If Uber can't give one, delivery shows as unavailable at checkout. Use these checks before contacting us.

Before you start

  • Who: a manager.

  • Device: your Nomni Ordering console, and the customer's delivery address.

Check your store

  1. Check your store is open and delivery is available now in your online hours.

  2. Check your delivery settings and delivery zones or suburbs include the customer's area.

  3. Check your store address is right. Uber measures the distance from it.

Check the customer's order

  1. Ask the customer to check the full delivery address, including the street number and postcode.

  2. Try the same address yourself on your store.

  3. Try a nearby address. If that works, the customer may be outside Uber's range.

What you should see: a delivery fee and time at checkout once Uber can deliver.
