Overview of Managing Uber Eats Operating Hours
Uber Eats operating hours are managed through specific settings depending on the platform or account you are using. It is important to note that:
Changes made on the HQ account do not automatically override individual store settings. Adjustments must be made at the appropriate account or store level.
Uber Eats does not follow generic online ordering hours. Instead, it uses Uber-specific menu time settings.
The ability to update trading hours depends on the role and permissions assigned:
Super Admin Account: Required for updating trading hours on platforms like the Child site. This ensures accurate configuration at the individual store level.
HQ Administrators: When trading hours are centrally managed, only HQ administrators can make changes. Store-level updates are not permitted as they would affect all locations using the central schedule.
This can be found under Location Settings >> Online Hours.
Using Abacus Integration
Access the Uber-specific menu time settings within your Abacus integration.
Adjust the operating hours directly in the Uber menu time settings.
Save and confirm the changes.
Common Troubleshooting Tips
If changes to trading hours are not reflected, ensure you are modifying the settings at the correct account or store level (e.g., Child site rather than HQ account).
Verify that the changes have been published after making adjustments.
Double-check the Uber-specific menu time settings to confirm that the hours align with your intended schedule.

Uber Eats
Managing and updating Uber Eats operating hours requires using the correct settings and accounts to ensure changes are reflected accurately. This guide provides an overview of the steps to modify operating hours, publish changes, and troubleshoot common issues.
Publishing Changes
After making adjustments to the operating hours, it is crucial to publish the changes to ensure they are applied. This step is necessary whether you are updating hours for a single store or multiple locations.
Navigate to Time Settings.
Select Edit Timing and make the necessary changes.
Click Save and then press Publish to reflect the changes on the DoorDash page.
Child Site
For the Child site:
Log in using a Super Admin account.
Access the trading hours settings and configure them as needed.
Centralized vs. Decentralized Management
Centralized Management: When trading hours are managed by a headquarters account, changes must be made by HQ administrators. This ensures uniformity across all locations.
Decentralized Management: For platforms or stores managed individually, roles like Super Admins can make updates directly.
For Uber Eats, changes made on the HQ account do not automatically override individual store settings. Adjustments must be made at the appropriate account or store level.
Dining Section in the Compendium
To update operating hours in the dining section of the compendium:
Request the admin to change the hours (e.g., from 24 hours to 6am–10:00pm).
Ensure the OrderUp console is updated to match the new hours for consistency across platforms.
To have two daily sessions (i.e Lunch and Dinner) select 2 daily sessions from the drop down in Hours Configuration section. Ensure that the timing for each session is configured accurately to reflect the operational hours for Lunch and Dinner.
