Quick answer: Log in to the console and click Orders . Find the order and click View Order . Then follow the steps below.
You can refund an order yourself from the Nomni Ordering console when it was paid with Nomni Ordering Payments (Stripe Connect, set up by us). For other gateways (your own Stripe account, eWAY, Fat Zebra or PayPal), refund it in that gateway's own dashboard.
Older guides mention a Request Refund page in the console. It is no longer in the console menu. Refund from the order as shown below, or in your own gateway's dashboard.
This guide is for the Nomni Ordering console. Your console address ends in /console, for example yourstore.orderup.com.au/console.
Before you start
Who: a console user with the Refund permission on Orders. Your console admin can turn it on in Admin > Users > the user > Permission.
Device: a computer or tablet with the console open.
Refund an order
Log in to the console and click Orders.
Find the order and click View Order.
Scroll to Refunds at the bottom of the order.
Choose the refund type: Full or Partial. For a partial refund, enter the Amount.
Add a Reason. The customer won't see it: the reason does not show in the email.
Under Email, tick Store Admin, Customer or both to send a confirmation email.
Click Submit Refund.
What you should see: the refund listed under Refunds History with the date, type, reason and amount, and the Total Refunded. If you ticked the boxes, the customer and/or store admin get a confirmation email.
Find refunds later
Go to Reporting > Refund Report to see refunds for a date range (needs the refund report permission).
Refunds also show in Reporting > Payout Report.
If something goes wrong
There is no Refunds section on the order: the order wasn't paid with Nomni Ordering Payments, or you don't have the Refund permission. Refund it in your own gateway, or ask your admin for the permission.
The amount is rejected: you can't refund more than the order total, minus anything already refunded.
Fields on the Refund Report
In the Nomni Ordering console, go to Reporting > Refund Report.
On screen | What it means |
Order Date range | Find refunds by when the order was placed. |
Refund Date range | Find refunds by when the refund was made. |
