Self-Delivery (Using Your Own Drivers)

Quick answer: In the Nomni Ordering console, go to Location Settings > Delivery Settings and switch Delivery Allowed to Yes. Then set order options, delivery limits, fees and delivery hours. Then follow the steps below.

1. Delivery Settings

  1. Accessing Delivery Settings:

    • Open your Nomni Ordering console.

    • Navigate to Location Settings >> Delivery Settings.

  2. Enabling Delivery:

    • Switch Delivery Allowed to Yes.

  3. Order Options:

    • To enable immediate orders, switch Order Now Allowed to Yes.

    • To enable pre-orders, switch Pre-Order Allowed to Yes.

  4. Setting Delivery Limits:

    • Maximum Items: Set the maximum number of items per delivery.

    • Minimum Order: Specify the minimum order value for delivery. Orders below this value will not be eligible for delivery.

    • Free Delivery: Set the minimum order value for free delivery.

    • Delivery Fee: Define the delivery fee for orders below the free delivery threshold.

  5. Setting Delivery/Preparation Times:

    • Adjust delivery/preparation times in 15-minute or 1-hour increments.

    • Use the Current Adjustment for (date) slider for same-day adjustments. It only changes today's times, so set it back to 0 when you no longer need it.

    • To display estimated delivery times to customers, switch Display Estimated Time to Yes.

    • To hide delivery options, switch Hide Delivery to Yes.

2. Delivery Zones or Suburbs

  • Access the settings in the 2nd and 3rd tabs.

  • Follow the guides for setting up:

    Delivery Zones:

    1. Complete steps 1, 2 and 3 from above.

    2. Click on the third tab on the top right of the page.

    3. Press on the "Create Zone" button and then the middle button of the three buttons in the top-centre section of the map.

    4. Now, press the first point of the outline you have in mind for the polygon and draw each line one by one, clicking at each point. Finally complete the polygon by creating a line that completes the polygon.

    5. To edit or delete this polygon just click on "Zone 1" or "Zone 2" or 3 etc. depending on how many zones you have already made.

    6. With this zone created, you can now set parameters such as the minimum order that will allow customers to place their delivery request, as well as the delivery fee that is applicable to this zone. If you would like this zone to be active make sure "Activate Zone" is switched to "YES".

3. Delivery Hours

  1. Accessing Delivery Hours:

    • Click on the last tab at the top of the Delivery Settings page.

  2. Setting Operating Hours:

    • Use the grey drop-downs to set the store's opening and closing hours for each day.

    • Toggle delivery availability between Open and Closed for each day.

Remember to save your changes at the bottom of each page.

Fee and minimum order messages customers see

The messages as they appear on the ordering site (the amounts are filled in from your settings):

What it means

"There is a delivery fee of [fee] and a minimum order of [amount]"

The delivery fee and minimum order.

"Sorry, [method] has a minimum order total of [amount]. The minimum order value does not include any fees."

The cart is under the minimum order.

"[amount] surcharge has been added"

A surcharge was added to the order.
