Order Processor (Web-Based View)

Written by Kevin Cheav

Quick answer: In the Nomni Ordering console, click LAUNCH ORDER PROCESSOR on the Dashboard. New orders show green, read orders white and completed orders grey. Click an order to mark it read or complete or send an SMS. Use + and - at the bottom to change today's prep times in 5-minute steps, and the pause icon to stop online orders for 5, 10, 15 or a custom number of minutes.

This guide is for the Nomni Ordering console web Order Processor. It is not the Nomni POS online store.

1. Access the Order Processor

After logging into the console you will be presented with a button to launch the order processor.

2. Current Orders

The Order Processor will now show all current orders. There are 3 colour states an order can be in.

1. Green - This is a new order

2. White - This order has been marked as ‘read’ by the venue

3. Grey - This order has been marked as ‘complete’ by the venue.

These three states are used for Venue understanding of where an order can be in production.

3. Viewing Order Details

Tapping or clicking on any of the orders in the list will open a view of the order details. It also gives options for

  1. Mark as READ / Mark as UN-READ

  2. Mark as Complete / Mark as INComplete

  3. SMS (send the customer an SMS)

This order has been marked as ‘read’ and offers the ability to reverse this state

This order has been marked as ‘complete’ and offers the ability to reverse this state

This order has had the SMS notification sent to the customer

4. Change prep (wait) times for today

The bottom of the Order Processor shows each active ordering method with its current prep time in HRS and MINS.

  1. Find the ordering method, for example Pickup or Delivery.

  2. Click + to add 5 minutes or - to take off 5 minutes.

  3. Check the new time shown under the method.

These changes only apply to today. The next day the prep time goes back to the daily times set in Location Settings (for example Pickup/Preparation Templates on the Pickup page).

5. Pause online orders

Use pause when the kitchen is too busy. While paused, customers trying to order now see We are not taking any orders until followed by the resume time. Pre-orders for a time after the pause ends can still be placed.

  1. Click the pause icon at the bottom left of the Order Processor.

  2. In Pause for?, choose 5 Mins, 10 Mins, 15 Mins or Other. With Other, enter the number of minutes (steps of 5).

  3. Click Save. You will see Paused! and Your device has been paused for next … mins.

What you should see: the pause icon changes to a play icon. Orders start again automatically when the time is up.

Resume early: click the play icon. You will see Device unpaused!.

6. Send an SMS to the customer

  1. Click the order to open its details.

  2. Click SMS. The status changes from SMS not sent to sent.

The SMS can be sent up to 3 times per order.

NOTE: To ensure that you are being notified of incoming order, make sure your device is always on and alerts are set to on as well.
