How to Switch ON or OFF Timed Menus, Happy Hour, Availability

On the Order Up platform, you can have full control on when you menus appear at certain points of the day.

This article will show you how to turn ON or OFF timed menus. A restaurant may have Breakfast and Lunch menus on their platform, but breakfast may only be available between 10am - 12pm, so we will show how to make the breakfast menu only appear between those hours.

You can do Timed Availability on the Category level or Product level.

Instructions

  1. Once logged into the back-end console, click MENU >> Menu Categories

  2. You will then see a list of all categories available. Select the category you wish to apply the changes to, example Breakfast category, click onto the EDIT button.

3. You will then be taken into the Breakfast Category. On the top right side, select AVAILABILITY

4. Here you can enter the times the category is available for. Select Available All Time change to NO.

Example: Breakfast Category is available from 10am - 12pm.

Remember to click SAVE once complete.

This means on the front-end of your ordering platform, you will not see the breakfast menu outside of 10am-12pm.

5. To have Category Available All Time, leave on green, YES.

6. Furthermore, you can also show new products FROM and To specific dates: this product will not show on the front end unless it is between the selected range

  1. if there is a start and end date/time the product will only show DURING this date/time range

  2. if there is ONLY a FROM date/time the product will always only show AFTER the FROM

  3. if there is ONLY an UNTIL date/time the product will always show BEFORE the UNTIL
