Snooze menu items (mark them temporarily unavailable)

Make an item unavailable for 1 to 72 hours; it comes back on its own

Quick answer: Snooze temporarily hides a Nomni Ordering product for a few hours. In the Nomni Ordering console, open the item and set a snooze/unavailable duration; it reappears when the time ends.

Snooze hides a product from your online menu for a few hours, for example when you run out. It comes back on by itself when the time is up.

This guide is for the Nomni Ordering console (formerly OrderUp). Your console address ends in /console, for example yourstore.orderup.com.au/console.

Before you start

  • Who: a console user with the Menu Overrides permission (create, edit or delete). Without it, the Snooze column is hidden.

  • Device: a computer or tablet with the console open.

Snooze a product

  1. Log in to the console.

  2. Go to Menu > Menu Categories.

  3. Click the magnifying glass on the category to see its products.

  4. In the Snooze column, click the icon for the product.

  5. In How many hours would you like to snooze … for?, choose 1, 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 or 72 hours.

  6. Click Ok.

What you should see: the product is hidden from your online menu until the snooze ends.

See or end a snooze

  1. Go to Menu > Menu Overrides > Snooze Items.

  2. Find the product. To end the snooze early, delete it and confirm.

If something goes wrong

  • You can't see the Snooze column or Snooze Items: ask your console admin to give you the Menu Overrides permission in Admin > Users.

  • Your menu comes from your POS: on POS-integrated stores, you may need to mark the item unavailable in your POS instead.

  • You want to hide it for longer than 72 hours: make the product inactive instead (edit the product and switch it off).
