Site Access: limit who can open your console or ordering site by IP address

Allow only certain IP addresses into the console and/or the ordering site, and set a blocked message or redirect.

Quick answer: Go to Site Access > View IP's and click New Site Access. Enter a Single IP or an IP Range, choose the Access Area (Console & Front End, Front End Only or Console Only), set it Active and click Create. As soon as a rule is active, only the IP addresses in your active rules can open that area. Everyone else is blocked.

This article is for the Nomni Ordering console. Your console address ends in /console, for example yourstore.orderup.com.au/console.

Before you start: you need the Site Access permission. If you don’t see Site Access in the menu, ask your console admin or contact us.

Important: The console warns: "Any active rule will ONLY allow the IP address(s) assigned to that rule and area. EG: a rule for 192.168.0.123 for Console only will block all other IP's from accesing the console". Add your own current IP first, or you can lock yourself out.

Add an IP rule

  1. Click Site Access > View IP's. The page notes: "Only Active IP will be allowed. No active, no IP blocking."

  2. Click New Site Access.

  3. In Create New Site Access, choose Single IP and enter the address, or IP Range and enter the first and last address ("to").

  4. Choose the Access Area: Console & Front End, Front End Only or Console Only.

  5. Turn on Active.

  6. Click Create.

What you should see: the new rule in the Site Access list.

Turn off or delete a rule

  1. Open the rule from the list.

  2. Turn off Active to stop it blocking anyone, or delete it. When asked "Are you sure?", confirm.

With no active rules there is no IP blocking.

Set the blocked message or redirect

Blocked visitors see a message, or you can send them to another web page.

  1. Click Site Access > View Site Redirect.

  2. Enter the Site Access Blocked Message.

  3. To redirect instead, set Activate Redirect URL to YES and fill in Redirect link name and Redirect to.

  4. Click Save & Exit.
