Coupons are a great way to to promote to to customers, increase loyalty and increase average spend.

Creating Coupons – Discount applied in a dollar value $ or Percentage %

Coupon Types

  • General - a coupon code for customers to enter to receive a percentage or dollar value discount.

  • First Time - an automatically applied discount for customers to use in their first purchase, either percentage or dollar value. Please note: if a customer previously ordered the discount will be removed.

  • Automatic - an automatically applied discount for all customers, either percentage or dollar value.

  • Method Fee - a coupon code for customers to enter to receive a percentage or dollar value discount that only applies to method fee (pickup, delivery, dine-in, room service).

Coupon setup (see image below)

  1. Enter coupon name and description.

  2. Make the coupon ‘’active’’ or you can activate it later when required.

  3. Set the discount type, percentage or dollar value.

  4. Enter the discount figure.

  5. Enter the coupon code of your choice. Not required if automatically applied.

Setting up coupon availability

A. The coupon can be used for all
methods, keep all methods activated or just a selected specific method.

For example, the coupon is available only for
pickup orders then we select only ‘’Available For
Pickup’’

B. One Time Use - This code will only be valid for the FIRST person to redeem it. Every person after this will receive an Invalid Code error. (one-off discount)

C. Not in conjunction with another discount/deals – If selected, it will not apply to any deal or discount.
This feature prevents double discounting on already discounted items.

D. Minimum Cart Value - Minimum cart value to be able to redeem the coupon.

E. Maximum Usage per Customer – how many times the same customer can redeem this coupon.

F. Valid Date – if left as is the coupon is always available. If the date range is selected the coupon will be ONLY available during the selected date range.

Setting The Applicable Products

  • If left as is, the coupon will apply the discount to ALL products you have listed and active in the system.

*Not applicable and will not show when ‘’Method Fee‘’ is selected*

  • The coupon can be applied to a specific ‘’menu category’’ e.g. only Traditional Pizza or only Desserts are discounted. Multiple menu categories can be selected.

  • We can go more in-depth and select a particular product or products within the menu category.

E.g. Only Pepperoni Pizza or Hawaiin are discounted in the Traditional pizza category.
Multiple menu items in multiple menu categories can be selected.

  • We can go more in-depth and select a particular size of the product.

E.g. Large Pepperoni pizza
from the Traditional pizza menu category is discounted.
E.g. ALL sizes of pizzas from the Traditional pizza menu category are
discounted.

Before setting Applicable Products or Sizes

If you set a coupon discount applies to any category/product/size it will NOT work with any deal or any multipart (half & half) product.

Don’t’ forget to save and test prior to promoting your coupon.

Coupon Max Discount

  1. For a percentage discount you can now set a maximum discount amount for the code per use.

    1. eg: 10% off to a maximum claim of $10

  2. This allows the venue to provide an attractive discount but also give them a level of protection for the maximum claim per order.

  3. If you leave the max discount as 0 it will NOT apply a max discount

Usage Suggestions

  • Set up an automatically applied coupon to discount customers spending over $XX amount, the discount can be set as a $ figure or % percentage.

  • Set up a first-time customer discount, only new/non-registered customers will be entitled.
Please note: if a customer previously ordered the discount will be removed.

  • We can create a coupon code and promote it via the email confirmation which is sent to customers upon submission of their order. Great idea for discounting their next purchase.
We can limit the number of uses per customer and set a minimum spend.

  • The coupon codes can be set up to discount a specific menu item, items or menu category or categories.
This can be used to promote and discount specific items or categories.
