Quick answer: In the Nomni Ordering console go to Location Settings > Payments. Turn on each payment type (Credit Card, Pay on Pickup / Delivery, Pay on Account, Paypal Express Payment, Pay By Tab and more) and choose the methods in Payment Allowed For. With Credit Card on you can set a Credit Card Surcharge in %. To rename Pay on Account (for example Pay at Counter), edit it in Integrations > Payment Methods.
Payment Settings overview
SMS Verfication for Minimum Order Values: sends an SMS code to check the customer's mobile for Credit Card, Pay on Account and Pay in Person orders over the Minimum Order Value, for the methods you pick.
Payment Configuration: Credit Card YES/NO, Credit Card Surcharge (%), accepted cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), Payment Allowed For and SMS Verification For each method. You may need a separate merchant ID to accept American Express. On eWAY stores, card types are set in your eWAY dashboard.
Pay on Pickup / Delivery (cash or pay in person): YES/NO, Maximum Order Value, methods and SMS verification.
Pay on Account: YES/NO, Maximum Order Value, methods and SMS verification.
Paypal Express Payment and Zip Money Payment: YES/NO per method.
Pay By Liven Payment (shown to customers as Pay with Liven, for Nomni Loyalty): YES/NO, Liven Pay Surcharge %, methods.
Pay By Tab: Dine In and Room Service only; OrderUp - Stripe and Pay By Tab must also be on in Integrations > Payment Methods.
A payment type only works if its gateway is also active in Integrations > Payment Methods. If no payment type is on for a method, customers see There are no payment methods set for … Please contact the store to place an order. Public holiday surcharges are set in Holiday Settings.
You can now activate a payment method with specific instructions on where/or how to pay.
Pay on Account, Pay at Counter, Pay at Kiosk, Pay at Bar and changing the customer facing label on checkout page.
1. In your Nomni Ordering console, go to Location Settings >> Payment Settings.
Scroll down to Pay on Account and activate the methods you need, in the example below I have activated this for Pickup, Dine In and Room Service.
2. Next, go to Integrations tab >> Payment Methods and click onto Edit for Pay on Account.
3. Here you can update the Customer Facing Label for the methods you are activate with.
Remember to click SAVE on the bottom of the page.
4. Last step is to check on your front end site.
You can see that the Pickup method now shows Pay at Counter on checkout.
What's the difference between PAY ON ACCOUNT AND Pay on Pickup / Delivery?
No difference really, the restaurant will need to collect payment from the customer directly for both as they are unpaid.
The idea of pay on account is that a business, such as a Hotel, may group all unpaid orders together and collect payment when they check out.
Pay on PU/Del is usually for single orders like COD for cafes etc
